Hey Chick!: Thank you postcards - Blog post & YouTube process video

¡Hola!

I wanted to say Thank you to the friends who ordered during my Stampin' Up (SU) party.
So when I got my goodies, I had to play right away.

To create these postcard I used:
Stamp: SU So very much
Stamp: SU Hey, Chick
Stamp: SU Wanderlust
Inks: SU Blushing Bride
Ink: Versafine Black ink
Embossing powder: SU clear
Paper: SU Blushing Bride &
 100# White Cardstock from Michael's
Embossing folder: SU Honeycomb
(Although I decided not to use it in subsequent cards)
Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles

Back of the card:
Here I used the "postcard" and "heart" stamps from SU's Wanderlust.
 I used 100# white card-stock for stability.
Using white card stock allowed me to write
a personalized message to each recipient.

Overall, a cute and easy to make Thank you postcard to express my gratitude!

Another closeup at the postcard without the Honeycomb embossing folder.
I like this design better, so I didn't used the the embossing folder in subsequent cards.

Enjoy and keep on stampin'!

Card 1: Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration party! - Hot Air Balloon

¡¡¡Hola, Hola!!!

I am extra happy today since I get to share with you the
cards we made at my Stampin' Up party last weekend.

Yes, I had a Stampin' Up party at my house and a few of us (about 11) got to relax,
do some crafting, eat, talk, laugh and be ourselves for a few hours.

I always love having parties at my house, my friends come and we are here
for about 3-4 hours.  After it I am exhausted, but so happy to have connected
with friends and do some crafting.

My husband is also very happy when I have my parties,
he says I do a little extra special cleaning :) around the house.
JIJIIJI it's true!
If my peeps are coming, I want my house spotless!!!

About the cards:

The two cards are so fantastic and
so full of detail that they each deserve their own blog post.

Today I will focus on card 1. Hot Air Balloon card
I am in LOVE!!!
That is ALL I can say.
My SU Demonstrator & friend is Becky R.- and she is AMAZING!!!

Technique Card 1: Z-fold.
For this card Becky R. taught us how to do a Z-fold while
still using a 8.5" x 5.5" piece of card-stock as a base.
I love learning new techniques!

Goodies used:
SU Stamp set:  Lift me Up
SU Die set:  Up & Away
You can get them in a bundle!
Blue paper & ink: Night of Navy
Hot air ballon paper: a free item in the sale-a-bration catalog!
ribbon: Mint Macaroon

Other angles of the Z-fold:

The inside of the card gets decorated as well.
And OHHH - don't forget the envelope!

The front of the envelope & the flap!

Love the Z-fold, but does the card fit in a regular A2 envelope? - YES!

Another look at the Hot Air Ballon Card!

More about the SU party itself:

For having the party at my house Becky R.
gifted the most adorable stamp set!!!
It is called TASTY TRUCKS
it's one of the items in the Sale-A-Brations catalog.
I LOVE IT!!! Taco's anyone?

During the party, Becky had a raffle for the ladies who came.
The prize was an amazing set of handmade cards (no picture) but they were adorable.  Guess who won? - Leesha
She is one lucky lady....Leesha always wins!
I am not kidding you!
I am having her buy my next lottery ticket for sure!
:)

I want to say a special THANK YOU to the ladies who came,
some even from far away :) to have some fun!!
Thanks for coming and hanging out with me!!
Also thanks for placing an order during the party,
also a special THANK YOU to the ladies who couldn't come
but still placed an online order to join in the fun!
¡¡¡¡Muchas gracias!!!!

Your goodies are coming soon!
I closed the party on Tuesday - 3 days after!!
A record for me!

A few special friends couldn't make it....we missed you.
But next year....I will have another one!!
If you are reading this and want to be able to purchase during my next party,
leave me a message below! I have a party every February!

Last but not least,
Thank you Becky R.!!!
Hugs to you! Your style is amazing!!!

A snack peak of card 2

WoW! That was a long post!
But I really enjoyed the party!
Once I get my goodies I will have a haul video and post!

Enjoy! and create!
