Again...I am trying watercoloring

I stamped my images using Distress inks.

Barn door
Mowed lawn
Then I went over the images with a water brush.

Other goodies used:

NUVO Drops:
Cooper Penny

SU Truly Grateful
Embossing folder: Darice Basket
Wink of Setlla

To finish off my image, I stamped the inside as well.
The sentiment is from the SU Basket of Wishes.
The tree trunk image is from SU Truly Grateful

I hope you like it!

Fall Card Design 2

Hola...

This is the second card I created for my Card Group Exchange - "Fall Theme".
I used watercolor paper this time!

Background:
To create the background I started with a 5"x7" Watercolor paper.
I used watercolor markers and scribbled the markers on plastic paper
Spritzed it with water.
And brought my watercolor paper to it.
I squished my paper to ensure proper transfer  of the watercolor.

I realized I loved it so decided to split the background in half and create two cards!
Card 2 for today, same colors but slightly different. This one has less yellow, almost none.

This is the second card I made of this design. Very similar.

The Front of the card:
I am working on some wedding invitations,
and had to ensure the paper I purchased was 8.5" x 11"
So I trimmed the papers to ensure the proper dimensions.
The little papers I had left over looked like sprigs,
so I decided to use them here.
Tied them with hem and voila!

I also stamped the inside of the card!

Other goodies used:

Stamp Set: SU Truly Grateful
NUVO Drops:
Dandelion Yellow
Strawberry Coulis
Black
Paper: SU Calypso Coral
Ink: SU Crumb Cake

I hope you like it!
Adiós,

Rose Wonder & watercoloring with die inks

I have been busy learning how to watercolor.
For today's card I wanted to show you a pink-purple-blue combination.
What's different about today's card?
I am not using distress inks.
Instead I used die inks from Stampin' Up and a water brush.

I also used Gina Marie Design wonky rectangle dies (I am loving them).

The rose and the sentiment are all part of the Rose Wonder stamp & die set from Stampin' Up

Keep on practicing and keep on coloring!

Rose Wonder by Stampin' Up

For today's card I am trying something new...watercoloring with distress inks.
Not sure how I feel about it yet, but its a bit messy and hard to control.

I do love this rose, I cut it using the Stampin ' Up Rose Wonder framelit.

I used this card and others similar to it as my card for the June 2016 Birthday Club.
I do hope my recipients enjoy their cards.

Have a fun and colorful day!
