MFT Camp Create Day 5: Delightful Die-Cutting & Bonus Awesome OMBRE background

Hola!!

I can't believe this is day 5 of the MFT Camp Create already!

Today I am making a card to lift my spirits...

we just came from dropping off our oldest daughter at College!!!

Sigh!!!

My heart is filled with pride, love, happiness 

and a bit of sadness to see my baby girl leave.

She is not far away and I know she will be fine.

Still I cried and cried and then got crafting!

So here I am sharing my creation with you.

What did I do?

I am so excited to show you my Delightful Die-Cutting Technique card.

For todays's technique I chose to use my die cut to frame my main image all while

incorporating the Bonus Camp day: Awesome OMBRE technique.

MFT Camp Create Day 4: Monochromatic Magic

Hola!

Today I am here to share my Monochromatic Card for MFT Camp Create.

I chose shades of purples!

I would have chosen Shades of Gray - but I wanted to keep this PG-13 :)

I used the following goodies:

MFT FRIEND die-namics

MFT Rectangular Stax 2 die-namics 

(I used the largest one to cut the background)

SU Woodgrain Background stamp

SU Wisteria Wonder ink & paper

SU Elegant Eggplant ink & paper

NUVO drops Wisteria

Wink of Stella

Glossy Accents 

First I chose the inks & papers:

Die-namics used:

I love the detail on the letters: Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents!!!
I alos aded the Nuvo Drops and Glossy Accent drops on a diagonal - this guides the eye move throughout the card!

By completing this card

MFT Camp Create Day 3: Backgrounds

Hola!

This is my creation for Day 3 - the technique was to create a background!

For the background I heat embossed the rainbow image using white embossing powder

and added some color with distress Inks.

Pretty quick and easy!

Background closeup - you can really see the rainbows now!
Check out the sentiment die - I added foam tape to the actual banner, but not to the frame!!
I like the dimension it created!

MFT Camp Create Day 2: Magnificent Masking

Hola!!

Here I am with a card for day 2 of MFT Camp Create 2017.

The technique we had to use was: Masking

 I used a sticky note and masked the sky while I used my Clarity Stamp Brushes and brushed some green distress ink on the bottom of the rectangle, and vice versa.

You can see the paper moved a bit, but I don't mind.

MFT Camp Create Day 1: Inlay made easy!

Hola!

Have you ever tried to make a card and every time you touched it you wrecked it?

Yeap..that was me today!

I was watching YouTube and found the

MFT Camp Create 2017 Week video. 

AMAZING!

Each day this week they share a technique and 

if you take part in the challenge you could win a gift card!!!

Anyway...I love MFT so I said...why not?

The video I watched today was for day 1 of the Summer Camp. 

The technique was "Inlay"

I have seen Jennifer Macguire do 

a million of them, but alas I had never tried them.

So this is my first attempt at doing the INLAY technique!

I really liked it, I mail all my cards so I try not to add too much bulk,

 so this technique is great for me!!

After the inlay...I added Wink of Stella...it went downhill from there!!!

I thought I was doing well until....wink of stella just blobbed all over my card, and the white gel pen reacted with the wink of stella, then the black NUVO drops weren't dry....and apparently at some point I had black Versafine ink on my fingers!

I tried to fix it the best I could.

I am very proud of myself for trying a new technique.

Starred Birthday Card

Hola!

Most of the cards I make are birthday cards.

 I love making birthday cards, I am even part of a Facebook Birthday Club.  

This past July my hubby had a birthday - So we celebrated!

This is my Starred Happy Birthday Circle die.
