Hola!!
I love Copic coloring, I have been coloring for a little over a year now and still find it fun and a great way for me to relax.
My collection started without me even knowing it... My friend Dena G. from Arizona (Hi D!!!) sent me a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) and in it were tons of cute stuff and 2 Copic Markers: G28 & E09. I had no clue what to do with them, so I put them away...but not for long!
During the past year+ I have accumulated 188 Copic Sketch markers and 36 refills. I have changed organization methods, ways to carry my markers, but what I have been consistent about is that I ALWAYS label my markers.
Labelling my Copic markers:
- Why? To make sure I know which ones are mine. If you color with a friend or go to a crop...all Copic markers look the same. And you do not want to accidentally take home someone else marker, or vice versa.
- With what? I went to ACMoore and purchase a thin roll of gold washi tape. I also put clear tape on top of the gold washi to keep it in good condition.
- One: One strip of washi tape means the marker is mine. See picture below.
- **Two: Two strips of washi tape means its mine and I have the refill. This my friend is genius, if I can say so myself!! No more using a marker until is bone dry only to find out I had the Various Ink refill all along. Maybe someone figured it out before me, I don't know I did not google it. I thought of it, did it, and now I am sharing it with you :)
Advice from a Copic addict: label your markers the second you get them home. Labelling ten markers is easier and faster than labelling 150. Do it in small chunks, but do it.
They look cute too!
Adiós,
