Snow Cowboy

Once again I am following the Weekly Challenge Sketch 145 from From the heart stamps!  

I flipped it so the vertical line is now horizontal and thin (blue), but the square is large! 

I added a stitched tab with a stamped "happy birthday" for interest!

For today's card I used an Easter digi from 2CuteInk.  

I think this was my favorite digi from her March release!

Birthday Blooms mini thank you cards

¡Hola!

Happy Snowy Spring! I know, right! 

It is snowing here in New England, USA.

Today I wanted to share with you the thank you cards I made for the ladies

 that came to my Stampin' Up workshop a few weeks ago.  

I love having SU parties, my demonstrator Becky is so talented and 

sweet and challenges us each time.  I love her style! 

We created two amazing cards... will add them on another post.

For my thank yous: 

I created 3.5" x 3.5" cards -I am loving this new size.  

I know the standard is 3"x3" cards, but I can still use an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and create three cards, so why not add the extra 1/2", right?

 No envelopes needed: 

I did not create envelopes since I was dropping them in the bags of goodies each girl got.

Background border: Fresh Vintage from Stampin' Up

Inside I stamped the "thank you" from the new stamp set Rose Garden (I am in love)

Wink of Stella - you know I did!

Brother Scan N Cut 2 cutting machine

Dimensionals to pop the flowers, but not the stems

Colored with Copic markers

Best part was I had a crazy busy week so each morning, before work,  I colored only one flower.  

Each took about five minutes to color, so not a big deal to do while my car was warming up.  

I managed to color 4 last week, and most days that was all the coloring I got to do.  

I have two more to go - one for Becky and the other one for Kay.

Buggies and Booties by Stampin'Up

I am so excited about these baby shower cards. 

I never get to make baby cards, and here was my chance I needed two on the same week! 

The cards are very similar, which makes it easier for me to get them done and mailed on time.

I used several Stampin' up stamps:

 Buggies and Booties for the baby carriage.

For the background white heat embossed baby basket image I used Stampin' Up Swell news. 

Two older sets, but ohhh so cute!

Diggin Dog

This card will be given to our good friend Jim -

 he is retiring after many, many years of hard work.

Snowman Valentine minus the snowman

Extending the life of a digital stamp!  

Say what?  How? Is that even possible?

Yes & Hello my colorful friends!

For today's card I am using part of a digi from From the heart stamps FTHS and combining it with the Sketch Challenge for this week  Challenge #143! 
And coloring it green for the Glitter N Sparkle GREEN challenge.

The image is called Snowman Valentine, but when I printed it out I only chose to print the mailbox.   That made this already gorgeous digital stamp even more versatile...

since now I can make it an I miss you card, a Valentine's card, a thinking of you card...etc.

Look at the stamps you already own,

can you use only part of an image to create a new look?

City girl with a purse

Happy Sunday!

I have had this colored for a while waiting to get it onto a card. 

Here it is...I could not wait any longer.  

She is from All dressed up stamps, one of the three girls in the City Girls digital stamp.

I will enter her in the Monthly All dressed up challenge for March: Flowers!!

This was a challenging challenge :) as I don't ever add flowers to my cards. 

 It was interesting and it took me a long time to place them. 

I am pleased and very happy with the results.

It pushed me a bit out of my comfort zone...which is the reason I enjoyed doing the challenges. 

The image is adorable, I hope I did it justice!!!

Lucky Unicorn: A birthday card for my 10y son!

We are in celebration mode at our home. 

Our baby turns 10y this month and today we are having his birthday party.  

So I have been baking, frosting, filling thank you bags, wrapping presents....all in all planning an awesome birthday!

These are my 30 minutes to myself before the crazy begins...

so while on my treadmill I wanted to share his birthday card with you.  

I had another design picked out for him, but I won this digi last week from 

2CuteInk and he fell in love with it.  

And for his birthday....baby boy gets what baby boy wants.  Tomorrow is another day!
